100th Birthday Icebreaker Games
A 100th birthday party is a monumental landmark in the life of a human being; and as friends gather to honor this milestone, they probably would enjoy some fun ice breaker games.
Printable party games such as the Centennial Quiz would make a lovely ice breaker addition to any 100th birthday party. In this activity, the host could print out a quiz that asks basic questions about the guest of honor. Guests then could gather in teams of four or five to answer these queries, which could include “What is (insert guest of honor’s name here)’s hometown?”, “What is his/her middle name?”, “What did he/she do for a living?”, “What is his/her favorite hobby now that they are retired?”, etc. As the party guests will include both longtime acquaintances and newer friends of the guest of honor, not to mention family members, they should be able to trade information and compare notes in pursuit of the correct answers.
Another ice breaker game at a 100th birthday party is Talking Behind Your Back, an activity in which two groups of party guests get together to write and perform a skit in honor of the birthday boy/girl. The script of this short play will consist entirely of compliments and kind memories aimed at the guest of honor, who will be required to stand with his/her back turned to the performers for the duration of the skit. As guests collaborate to create this fun and memorable skit, they will get to know each other—and the guest of honor—a lot better.
