1st Birthday Icebreaker Games
A 1st birthday party is a memorable event, not necessarily for the guest of honor (who may indeed be too young to remember the festivities at all), but for the baby’s friends and family; who no doubt would love to play some light-hearted ice breaker games.
The Name Game is a fun ice breaker that would fit in nicely at any 1st Birthday party. Guests could gather in one big group and randomly yell out possible ‘replacement names’ for the baby of honor, or perhaps for any potential little brothers or sisters that could arrive at any point in the future. The party host could keep track of all the names yelled then link them together in a random fashion; coming up with hilariously ridiculous names such as Rosie Ignatius Patricia, Margaret Julia Irma Mae, Peter Patrick Irving, Kellan Leroy Ebert, etc. As guests put the baby’s parents in stitches with their hijinks, they are sure to find themselves bonding and laughing with one another as well.
More fun can be had by playing Printable Party Games such as Stroller Stride, an ice breaker activity in which the party host could print a map of a beautiful park; one that comes complete with florals and greenery as well as a series of intertwining paths that lead to a fountain at the center of the park. Guests could be given miniature plastic baby carriages—colored pink or blue, depending on the gender of the guest of honor—to race along the paths; the first three to reach the fountain could receive prizes such as gift cards to toy and baby stores. Yet all guests will count themselves as winners as they bond over this entertaining race.
