70s Icebreaker Games
Break out your funky afros, bell bottoms, and those platform shoes. A 70s party is a time to catch boogie fever and dance the night away! Everyone remembers the awesome music from the 70s, the unique figures and celebrities, and the groovy fashions that came out of that era. A great icebreaker game to play is 70s Pop Culture. Take sticky notes an write down people, places and things that were popular during the 70s (e.g., Donna Summers, platform shoes, Gerald Ford, etc.) Put a sticky note on each participant’s forehead. Have everyone walk around to greet each other and ask others to give clues about what person, place, or thing on their forehead is. The other person must give clues without saying whatever is on the sticky note. Since no one can see their own sticky note, they have to depend on the other guests' clues to guess what they are. Give all the guests as much time as they need to figure out the secret person, place or thing on their forehead. After all, you want to get everyone relaxed and talking to each other. The game is over when everyone has guessed their person place or thing. This is a great game to get everyone talking abou their favorite 70s pop culture memories and reminiscing about the best decade ever!
