80s Icebreaker Games

How many, like, totally awesome memories can you recall from the 80s? Big hair? Shoulder pads? High top sneakers? Awesome music? There is a lot to love about the 80s. So much in fact that this decade continues to influence pop culture today. A fun icebreaker game to play during your party is That 80s Thing, an 80s pop culture game. Before the party, take sticky notes and write the names of a person, place or thing on each one (e.g., Flock of Seagulls, Pepsi generation, Breakfast Club, Ronald Reagan, etc.). At the party, place a sticky note on the forehead of each participant. Have the guests walk around and ask the other participants for clues as to what is on their sticky note. No one can see their own sticky note, so they must depend on the other guests to give them clues as to what it is. Give all the guests as much time as they need to walk around, guessing each other's subjects and laugh and socialize about those memories. So the game can go on as long as you want. It's over when the last person guesses their stick note item. This game is sure to get everyone reminiscing about the 80s and sharing their memories! It's a fun way to get your guests to see how much they really have in common.
