90s Icebreaker Games
The 90s were full of memorable songs, fashions, celebrities, news headlines, movies, and fads. So many in fact that the 90s would be perfect for an icebreaker game of Pictionary! Pictionary is a classic game and makes a great icebreaker at a 90s party since teams must work together to win. To play this game, you'll need index cards, a giant drawling tablet and easel (or a dry erase board), a couple markers, and either an egg timer or a timer with a countdown function. Before the party, write down a significant person, place or thing from the nineties on each of the index cards (e.g., grunge, Bill Clinton, Tamagochi, “Macarena,” Vanilla Ice, etc.). Divide all of your party guests into two teams. One person from each team takes turns selecting a card, then drawing out the item on the tablet or dry erase board while their team tries to guess what the person, place or thing is. They have to guess before the timer runs out. At the end of the game, whichever team has guessed the most subjects correctly wins. This game is sure to bring out everyone's competitive spirit, get everyone collaborating, and also strike up some very fond memories of the 90s. It will let your guests know that they're in the good company of other folks who grew up in the 90s and share their pop culture memories.
