Animal Icebreaker Games

If your kids love animals, from amazing aardvarks to zooming zebras, then they'll love having an animal party. Animal party themes are great, since you can base it on a variety of animals or just a few that your child really loves. A great icebreaker game to play at an animal party is Guess Which Animal. Write the names of several animals on sticky notes. Put a sticky note on each of your guest's forehead with the animal name showing. Have everyone walk around and go up to each guest and ask “What animal am I?” The other person then describes the animal (e.g., “You have four legs, you're brown, you have horns, and you charge at people when you get angry) without saying the animal's name. The person who asked then guesses which animal they are. If they're correct, then the guesser takes their sticky note off and the other person asks “What animal am I?” and they repeat the same process. Once everyone has guessed which animal they are, write their names and their animal on name tags (e.g., Sarah the kangaroo, Johnny the panda bear, etc.). This game is a great ice breaker that will get everyone talking, and also everyone will have a cool animal to relate to!
