Barney Icebreaker Games

Play fun Barney theme ice breaker games for the next Barney theme party. Ice breaker games will allow children to play together in a fun format with the possibly of making a new friend or friends – and we all know Barney loves to make friends.

Find Barney’s Fossils is a fun game in which children can search through the party area in the hopes they can find Barney’s fossils. To make the fossils, cut out different dinosaur shapes from purple, green, and yellow card stock paper. The size of the fossils can range from the very small to the large. Before hiding the fossils in the party location, tie a decorative ribbon around each of the fossils with a small tag on in. Punch a hole in the small sheet of construction paper and write You have won (insert party favor)! Whatever is written on the tag is what the child wins. This gives children extra motivation to find the fossils certainly. Ideally, each child will receive a fossil and win a Barney theme prize. In case a child does not find a fossil award him or her a party favor regardless (no crying a Barney party).

Children can also participate in age appropriate Barney printables as well. Give each child a printable to work on, or form pairs, and let them have fun. Printables can include various word search, word scramble, and crossword puzzles. Older children may want to see who can complete the printables the fastest.
