Elmo Icebreaker Games

Elmo ice breaker games will encourage children to play and have fun with each other during the Elmo theme party. Elmo theme printables are fun group activities for children to participate in. Group the children into teams and with several Elmo printables per teams. The first team to successfully complete the printables (correctly) is the winning team. The winning team then can choose their special party favor prize.

Sit down activities are great but children naturally want to be on their feet running and jumping around. Additional ice breaker games for children at an Elmo theme party include first letter game. Give the children a top such as animals. Group the party guests into teams. Now, because the topic is animals, each team must write down an animal beginning with each letter in the alphabet as fast as possible. The first team to write an animal for each letter is the winning team.

Why should numbers, shapes, and colors be left out of the Elmo theme games? Print out various pictures of Elmo and other characters and various repeating background. For example, apply Elmo on a series of leaves or clouds. Ask the children to count how many leaves, clouds, circles, squares or other shapes they see in the picture and name the colors. Create or use ready-made pictures of Elmo and other fun characters and see who can name all the objects in the pictures the fastest or in teams. Give the sheets to each of the groups and have them write down what they seen.
