The History of Hanukkah Hanukkah is basically the Jewish version of Christmas. It is also known as the festival of lights and lasts eight days. It was originally used to worship Zeus. Party Colors Popular Hanukkah party colors would be to use blue, silver or white. Crafts for Hanukkah You could have the kids make a dreidel out of a milk carton. It would be easy to make and requires very few supplies. Educational Activities Have the kids take blue and white M&M's to decorate cookies with to make the Israeli flag. Food for Hanukkah Latkes and sufganiyot would be a good food to have at your party. Costumes You could have the boys dress as a Torah boy. Also the men dress as a Menorah man, and the girls could wear a Hanukkah charm bracelet. Hanukkah Party Favors Bracelets would make a nice party favor. Party Games A fun game to play at a Hanukkah party would be dreidel. Hanukkah Party Invitations If you send a card as an invitation make sure it has a Menorah and dreidel on it. Party Decorations You want to make sure your decorations have at least one of the colors in your theme. You may also want to makea prismatic banner with a Menorah on it. Party Balloons for Hanukkah If you want to include balloons you take take a bunch of blue, silver and white ones and use them as a center piece on your table. Party Music Maoz Tzur is a popular Jewish song you could include in your party. A very important Jewish Holiday is Hanukkah so plan ahead and gather all your friends and family for an amazing event planned by you. Have many party supplies and give many party favors.
