Kentucky Derby Icebreaker Games

Having people over for the Kentucky Derby? If so, party game are in order. The Kentucky Derby is the most prestigious horse race in the world. The race itself is only a couple minutes long so that means party guests are going to need some pre race entertainment. Kentucky Derby Printables are nice options for children at the Kentucky Derby get-together. Printables can include various word search games such as word find, word scramble, and crossword puzzles. Horseshoes is timeless game that requires horseshoes and a stake planted in the ground. While simple in concept, horseshoes can entertain party guests for hours on end.

A non-horse theme game, but just as much fun, is Close Pin Tag. Give each player 5 close pins to fasten to their the back of their shirts. Place the players in a circle facing outward. On go, the players must try and capture the close pins on each other backs without having their own close pin taken. The player who loses all their close pins during the game is eliminated. The player who has the most total close pins at after time has expired is the winner. To make the game more challenging, have the players ride broom sticks like galloping horses. Balloon tag can also be played fastening balloons to the ankles of players. Player must stomp out the other players balloons while keeping their balloon intact.
