Sixties Icebreaker Games
Guests will feel a great deal of ‘flower power’ when they attend a festive Sixties party; especially one which comes complete with some ice breaker party games.
The Sixties Scramble is an example of Printable Party Games that could be played at a sixties party. As guests work in team to complete the Sixties Scramble, they could share their own special memories of this time and get to know each other better. This fun word scramble could include terms and phrases typically associated with the decade of love, along with the names of sixties musical groups (as the sixties is known as a particularly musical decade) and pop culture icons. These could include sixties (of course), beads, tie-dye, bandana, van, bell-bottom pants, lava lamps, flowers, peace signs, the Beatles, the Turtles, the Doors, florals, floral wreaths, the Crystals, the Four Tops, Jim Morrison, Paul McCartney, Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley, Diana Ross, etc.
These Sixties musical icons also play a major role in Song of the Sixties, an ice breaker game in which guests take the stage (or at least the party table) to sing a verse or two from their favorite sixties hits. They could belt out a spirited chorus of “Light My Fire” by The Doors, “Help!” by The Beatles, “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” by Elvis Presley, or “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin. Each guest could introduce his/her performance by explaining why his/her song choice ranks among his/her favorites; sharing special memories that are sure to endear them to other guests.
