Tailgate Icebreaker Games

Tailgating is a fun tradition that compromises food, drinking, and fun games before the real fun begins – the actual sporting event. Ice breaker games for tailgating enthusiasts include beer pong, cornhole or bean bag toss, ladder golf, Mölkky, and flip cup. There are many other games that can be played at a tailgating party as well.

On Target is a fun party game that uses three traditional frisbee style flying discs. Players most throw their Frisbees at a large target on a large sheet of paper. Players take it in turns to throw three flying discs from a distance, trying to make them land on the large target. Points are scored by giving each section of the target a point value. For example, the outer most section of the target can be worth 1-point. The second most inner ring can be worth 2-points and so forth. The bulls eyes of the target can be worth 5-points.

Cannonball Drop is played with cannonballs suspended in the air supported by colored straws. Remove the straws one by one and the balls will fall down inside the castle tower. The winner is the player with the least amount of balls at the end of the game.

Quoits is a traditional game of British pubs that uses steel quoits that are thrown at metal pins embedded in beds of soft clay. Various versions of Quoits is available.
