Tambourines are one of those few instruments that can be played by anyone and everyone, regardless of whether or not they have a single musical bone in their body and that is why they are perfect at a party.
By having tambourines at your party you are offering the chance to your guests to really get involved in the party by simply picking up a tambourine and shaking it to the music. If there is live band present then even better. Likewise tambourines work well at karaoke parties as well.
There is nothing like music to help people loosen up and enjoy themselves at a party and that is what tambourines offer. Thus they can be incorporated into any party that is music based, like a dance night or a rock star party. But they are especially ideal for a seventies themed party because tambourines have a distinctive hippy feel to them (the Bangles and “Walk Like an Egyptian” comes to mind.) Another party where tambourines would blend in really nicely is an Arabian Nights themed one. You can juts imagine your guests dressed as Arabic princes and princesses while belly dancers swing their hips to the music of tambourines.
Tambourines are indeed fun and versatile instruments that cab create a musical sensation at any party.
