Tea Icebreaker Games
It’s tea time! And no tea party would be complete without some tea-rrific ice breaker games.
The Queen’s Tea is a fun ice breaker game that could be a highlight of any tea party. In this activity, each guest could assume a faux English accent, attempt a ‘royal wave,’ and share interesting facts about themselves for the benefit of other guests. These could include their names, their professions, their hobbies and interests, etc. This would be an effective and light-hearted way for guests to break the ice (and, for that matter, the sugar cubes!) and get to know each other.
Printable party games for a tea party could include The Tea Time Word Find; a printed word game which contains words and phrases relevant to the tea party experience. These could include tea (of course!), party, china, sugar cube, teabag, cup, saucer, plate, finger sandwiches, chocolates, hot tea, iced tea, wafers, teacup, cookies, cake, cinnamon, sugar, chamomile, lace, doilies, place settings, roses, lavender, napkins, linens, hats, gloves, dresses, tearoom, mints, kerchiefs, pearls, etc. Guests could work in teams as they dine to complete The Tea Time Word Find; in the process, they could discuss why they enjoy tea parties, their first tea party experience, etc. They can get to know each other better, and perhaps even co-host future tea parties as a ‘tea’m (sorry, we just couldn’t resist)!
Everyone enjoys an elegant, beautiful tea party; especially one which comes complete with some festive ice breaker party games.
