The post-war roaring twenties epitomized frivolity, free living and celebrations, so why not make this into an opportunity to have a fun-filled event, complete with Twenties Party Supplies? Ask your guests to dress the part, with women in flapper dresses (attach long fringe to dresses they already have), boas, elbow-length opera gloves and pearl necklaces, and the men in zoot suits or old gangster-style outfits, spats (white vinyl-like covers for men’s shoes) fedoras and fake mustaches. Play some old honky tonk jazz or swing music in the background, and cover your space in art deco or art nouveau posters (the old Absinthe posters are true representations of the roaring twenties) and you’ll have a rocking party, twenties style.
