Western Icebreaker Games

Nothing is more fun than a rootin tootin Western party; especially if it comes complete with some down home ice breaker games!

Printed Party Games at a Western party could include the Old West Word Scramble; a printed word scramble game which contains words and phrases relevant to Western life and legends. These could include cowboy, cowgirl, sheriff, bull, six shooter, boots, white hats, black hats, neck scarves, cattle, rustler, horse, deputy, gold star, range, west, western, old west, wild west, etc. Party guests could work in teams to complete this word scramble, sharing their knowledge of the old west and getting to know each other in the process.

Another wonderful Western ice breaker game is Wacky Wacky West; a fun, lively activity in which each guest is challenged to deliver an outrageous imitation of their favorite Western star. A female guest might choose to belt out a Dolly Parton, Faith Hill or Carrie Underwood song, while a man might croon a tune from Kenny Chesney or Kenny Rogers (or perhaps even a song performed by someone not named Kenny!:)). A man might imitate Roy Rogers or Tex Ritter, while a lady might channel Dale Evans or Annie Oakley. Following each imitation, the guest could explain as to why this particular western star is their favorite. And with both their imitation and their explanation, they will be revealing something about themselves; and perhaps discovering common movie and music interests that they share with their friends. Talk about an ideal ice breaker!
